Apply more glue on top of the tissue also. Make small strips of tissue paper, apply glue liberally on the inside and outside edge of the mask ( along the eyes and outer edges), and paste the tissue strips. Use a scissors to trim the loose bandages in the edges. Gently pull out from the edges.Īpply a coat of White wood working glue on the mask to bind and provide some waterproofing. Once its somewhat dry, remove it carefully from the mold. Make a thick paste of the POP powder with water and apply it on the mask to make a smooth surface. Use your fingers to shape the lips and nostrils. You can build up the nose, lips and eye brows by adding extra gauze strips. After the first layer, wait for 10 minutes and apply 2 more lays in the same way. Start with the forehead and work towards the other parts of the face. Shake off excess water and start applying the gauze strips on the mask mold.Ensure that one strip over laps the other strip. Cut 1 inch or 2 inch strips of gauze, hold both ends firmly and dip in the water bowl. This will ensure that, the plaster mask can be easily removed once its dry. Spread Petroleum jelly on top of this generously. This way, make about 10 rolls of gauze with POP.Ĭover the Plastic mask with old plastic carry bags and tape them in place with Cello tape.

While opening the gauze roll, sprinkle the POP powder on the roll. Spread old newspapers on the floor or table.
